Divine Intervention, Divine Non-intervention: A Loving Invitation to Serve Yourself

I do a lot of thinking and a lot of reading and processing of information and I think that this blog is a good way to share the fruits of that regarding this human experience of hearing voices and feeling force of will that are identified as problematic and originating in the non-physical Spirit world. I am glad to be able to help others by sharing here - very glad! I still assert and declare the reality of the possibility of hearing voices from non-physical spirit beings or a Deity; we are multi-dimensional beings.

Sharing information is one way of finding a way out of difficulty. Another way is for us to help each other. Another way is to call on the Spiritual Higher Power, "God", and the high spiritual agents of that Power for help. Another way is for us to help ourselves. Today, I am thinking that sometimes God is not helping us directly as we might like - either we are not open to it or God prefers to let us find our own way. Personally I am still making sense of the 'metaphysical' teachings in the world, however I believe that God likes you to be responsible for your own welfare as well, will make you do work that strengthens your spirit and will not give you everything you ask for if it is not for your higher good. But take care making your own mind up.

I like to stop and give thanks to God periodically during the day as a way of affirming to myself that Divine will is working in my Life.
Here is my prayer:

Thank you God that your plan of peace, healing, harmony and happiness is working for me and all of Life.

I pray this a few times a day and it helps settle me down if I am feeling some stress or pressure, I get peace from it.

I do believe the Divine will is always supporting us and working for us; I believe we may need to receive the love of God as it manifests in this way, and such a prayer as the one above here helps one to be open and remember that we are not alone in Life.

It's like Saint Padre Pio said, "Pray, hope and don't worry."
It's good when there are trials or challenges to stop, take breathing spaces during the day and give thanks like this, I recommend it. It gives peace and draws to you positive changes.

For me, the transformation to the health of being I am wishing for is not an instant process, and if God made that happen straight away, it would be a full miraculous intervention! The healing of my Life must be proceeding according to spiritual law, and it must be that I can help myself or someone else can help me. In other words there are things I can do to help myself with spirit intrusion.

I have tried a few times to have spiritual healing help from others and not been entirely successful so far. But I think part of the recipe for healthy living on my path is to find my own strength and ways to live in peace and harmony. This my mean doing my own energy work, and doing what I can to work on myself.

Does God give you everything on a plate? I guess not, in this respect. It must be for the best, and there must be other answers for you.

Introducing Milarepa, A Hero of the Inner World.

I have just been reading an article found here called "Inviting the demon" about the great Tibetan Buddhist poet-saint Milarepa and his adventures with demons. He went away to be a hermit and found himself harassed by demons.

I laughed when I read this, about when Milarepa first 'met' the hostile spirits:

Shocked, Milarepa politely introduced himself and asked them to
leave. At this, the demons became menacing, surrounding him while
growling, grimacing, and laughing maliciously. Milarepa was alarmed and attempted the most powerful of exorcism recitations, to no avail. The demons became even more threatening. Next, the yogin tried with great compassion to pacify them with Buddhist teachings, but they still remained, more vivid and horrible than before.

Clearly Milarepa couldn't find anything that worked to rid himself of the demons, not even 'the most powerful of exorcism recitations'!

This echoes my experience. That nothing seems to get rid of the threatening energies coming in.
Reading further in the article, I learned that Milarepa saw meeting with these spirits as a projection of his own mind - a manifestation of his own creating [read older posts to find out more about the metaphysical philosophy that we are all creating our reality in a primal sense, through our minds, whether in a more or less controlled manner]. That was interesting, and resounded with what I have been writing here.

If you need to love your demons, keep reading the article linked above, because it says that Milarepa also thought that these spirits were filled with luminosity and transparency, just the same as everything else. This reminded me of a near death account I read about at http://www.near-death.com/ of someone dying, and being accompanied by angels; whilst on a tour, they were shown a person who was down-and-out, lying in the gutter and drunk, and then that someone who was near death was asked by the angels what they saw - they reacted with disgust at the individual, before being shown by the angels that even this person who seemed degraded was full of love and light. To read that is an uplifting and reassuring experience - we are all filled with love and light! It is the essential nature of the universe/God's energy.

Milarepa strengthens himself, saying:

Faith grew in my mother's womb. A baby, I entered the door of
Dharma; A youth, I studied the Buddha's teaching; A man, I lived
alone in caves. Though demons, ghosts, and devils multiply, I am not afraid ....
I, Milarepa, fear neither demons nor evils; If they frightened
Milarepa, to what avail Would be his realization and enlightenment?

Then he invites the demons in to stay with him - symbolic of 'accepting' them, the beginning of compassion. In the article, the writer Judith Simmer-Brown says that this moment of invitation is important: instead of avoiding difficulties within our psyche, we profit by facing them and dealing with them. When Milarepa realises that the demons are projections in the world he creates and that they are not external to him but part of him, he can then 'look' at these parts to address them, rather than avoid them. And indeed he does 'look' at them, first challenging them to see who's way is stronger, the White or the Black, before boldly charging at them; they then dissolve, in fear. Milarepa has confronted his demons and won - moreover, he has settled for himself which way of living is superior - the Way of Light.

Our demons may be internal qualities, or they may appear to be outside of us, either way, this Buddhist story teaches us
  • not to be afraid
  • to see the perception of evil as arising from within oneself
  • to accept the situation and deal with it
  • to trust in goodness
  • to confront darkness.
There are valuable lessons here. And it made me laugh that he couldn't get rid of them with any means he initially knew of!

Previously, I was confused by delusion, And staying in the dwelling

of ignorant confusion, I perceived gods who help and demons who harm as real.
Now, through the kindness of the jetsun siddha, I understand there
is no samsara to stop, no nirvana to accomplish. Whatever appears
arises as mahamudra.
With the realization that confusion is groundless, The water that
reflects the moon of awareness is clear of murkiness. The sun of
luminosity, free of clouds, Clears away the darkness of ignorance
from the edges. Deluded confusion disappears. The true nature arises from within.
The precious thought that perceives demons is the wonderful
clarifier of the unborn bias.

Once Milarepa had gone beyond this state of awareness where he perceived evil, every moment that came to him he was able to accept and welcome. There was nothing to do, and he could be happy with all of Life. Perhaps Milarepa had gone beyond a sense of separation with the darkness, he had healed his relationship with it by not rejecting it (he invited the demons in); for how could he be whole, as someone who had once committed "black deeds" whilst he absolutely rejected evil, however pure he was in the present? There is a lesson of flexibility here. Being organic and not absolute, compassionate not judgemental. There is more humility in the purity that loves rather than judges; we must do what Jesus said, be humble in purity remembering that none is without sin, rather than "throw stones".
Being pure means healing ourselves and our perspective, rather than being closed off, separate, and living within a fixed boundary. Perhaps the sensation that there is something, an obstacle, that is very discordant in my awareness is a sign that I have been living with and making a painful judgement, which must be healed in order for there to be peace within me.
This whole syndrome of spiritual warfare could therefore be seen as a painful moment of personal growth and opportunity to take steps to move beyond polarity. Either that or live with a painful awareness forever! And I suppose it takes time, to gain the added understanding, the clarity that Milarepa mentions in his song above. Is that too ambitious? The whole thing has to progress somehow.

All this is a spiritual way of looking at being under the influence of hostile spirits or dark energies. It is based on unity, on a unifying perception, and it is based on the realisation that we are creative (receiving the exact nature of our Great Creator and calling reality to us in accordance with our mental activity). Also important is the respect we can have for ourselves and for all of life as being full of love and light, whatever the frightening outer appearances may be.

I rejoiced when I found this story because I identified with it. We can all be like Milarepa, and heal ourselves.

PS I found this article on Milarepa whilst investigating the integration of the shadow self. It was my idea that rather than heal all the lower astral world, I would heal the lower nature nature in myself. This article above, then, is especially interesting, as it shows interactions with the lower astral world as being a projection/extension of the self, and shows that resolution does not come by treating our stubborn demons as external beings, but by dealing with them as intrinsically linked to our mind and world-view. Rather than requiring a simple exorcism, we require careful self-analysis, and commitment to personal change. Christian demonology will examine a person's life and say, "why are you in this situation?" - and that is valid; perhaps the spirit oppression shows us that there are still unresolved areas at the edge of our consciousness that we had not quite been aware of, - perhaps we are being shown that there is another journey to be made towards psychic health, another story and adventure to undertake.

PPS It occurred to me that when Milarepa confronts the intrusive and ill-tempered spirits, he is expressing his strength, and asserting his right to his own space. Or symbolically, this means that really, love and light are more powerful than malice and fear. In the end, [according to Neale Donald Walsch's God], fear is in service of Love, and fear is ultimately an illusion. Comforting.
Secondly, going back to the point about being humble and not assuming a position of superiority based on one's level of evolution/based on right and wrong, the power struggle between Milarepa and the demons could be seen to be about dignity. They are angry, hostile; they cannot be pacified - there is a grudge between them. Only when they have been invited in can they be dealt with. Symbolically, whatever we do, we are still the same being doing it, we still have the same worth, whatever the appearance of matters - even demons deserve recognition.  This means that we cannot separate ourselves from ourselves in becoming and being pure, because there is continuity between the self that does the 'black deed' and the self that is pure (good, lightsome, godly, kind). The path of evolution requires total respect for all of Life, and we cannot proceed whilst carrying harsh opinions, because all is one. It's easy to be proud when in conflict with another, but humility is healing, - it brings peace.
Indeed, I did have a period growing up when I did things that were harmful. I still look back in a troubled way sometimes - I would benefit from looking at my personal growth and seeing who I was when all this began, and blessing my former self rather than cursing that self. It follows that the awareness of darkness cannot be healed with rejection.

Don't Stress On It: Metaphysics and Manifestation: Daring Religious Reflections

Don't Stress On It

                                                                 _________________

Metaphysics and Manifestation:

Imagine that we live in an endless 'soup' of possibilities that respond to our thoughts and feelings. Our thoughts and feelings give us a certain vibration that attracts back to us outside the mind a reality equivalent with the vibration our free minds emit. Experience is changeable and 'plastic'. When we purify our minds and marshal our thoughts, miracles happen.

Causes

Yesterday I was wondering about the causes of my troubles - where the misfortune came from and why I am the subject of a spirit vendetta.

Then I came to the conclusion that I should not be overly concerned about causes. My mental scenario began before I learned of the spiritual teachings about manifestation, - that is, about personal creativity as an experiencing member of the Divine Body.
There are two principle modes of personal creation: unconscious direction of the manifestation of one's experience, and conscious manifestation of experience. Conscious manifestation requires the right understanding and the application of it through careful cultivation of one's mental self. There is much literature to be found detailing this process.

It requires clarity, passion, persistence and faith to manifest a desired condition purely from thought force. I have not done it yet, but see it as a worthy goal; Neale Donald Walsch's God implies that it is a major goal of life for an individual to know themselves as creative. [In my perspective, I agree, we can be creators; if you are wondering how it is that we have God's power, think about this: God made us, so we are divine because our origin is in God, though God is Divine (capital D, always having greater power and glory).]

My point here is that all the paranormal trouble began before I took care over every thought (a habit which manifests good fortune), so it's not something to worry about, all this is a consequence of normal ignorance, and ignorance of the importance of a mind of love, rather than a mind of fear or resentment.

Love

So many sources say that Life is all about Love.

- That can be a wildly different perspective to the perspective our culture may hold, at least commonly (religions often teach that Life is about love or righteousness - the good deed, the righteous deed, is full of love). The message of Love is the message that resounds within our hearts and brings us peace and comfort.

The New Testament of the followers of Jesus of Nazareth called the Messiah [full title!] says that

"Deus caritas est : et qui manet in caritate, in Deo manet, et Deus in eo;"

...that is: "God is love: and who lives in Love, lives in God, and God lives in them." (Again, the implication is that love is 'Godliness', or 'righteousness').

Likewise, the New Testament says that "Perfect Love casteth out fear."

Neale Donald Walsch's God says Life as we know it is based around two polarities, Love and fear, of which fear is ultimately an illusion that permits Creation to be [Imagine! Fear is just an illusion! The implication of this is that truly, love is all there is and so everything is perfect], and that at the Highest level, all blends into One and there is only Love.
So when I was younger and unknowing and was very afraid or very unloving, I brought to myself a frightening reality and a reality without a strong awareness of love. And that's Okay. I was creating, I just didn't know it. Now I know it in fact, and seek to express in reality that fact, that I am made a creator, in God's image and likeness, sharing in God's power, living in Love, and living in God.

Solutions To Spiritual Attack: A Summary

This is a very important post for anyone experiencing unsettling psychic phenomena.

In this post I'd like to gather together some of the solutions that have emerged in the content of this blog.
Here they are:

  1. Grounding: Just like in household electrical circuits, the human organism (including its spiritual nature, the 'biofield' or 'aura') sometimes benefits from shedding excess spiritual energy. This apparently is done through passing the excess energy down a special cord that extends from the base of the spine deep into the energetic fabric of the Earth. If we are not well-connected with the Earth we are not strong. There are many ways of grounding, from visualising the grounding cord being wide and extending deep into the Earth, to engaging in physical activities of various sorts, like running or walking or gardening. Think of how much the Earth gives you, and develop your relationship with the Earth. In my experience, the Earth is alive, just as some religions hold.
  2. Mental Hygiene: think positive affirmations, pray, think about things that make you happy, laugh, focus your mind on things that make you happy and are good for the world and other beings, be spiritual, be religious, keep clear of harshness, cultivate kind thoughts and loving emotions and emotions of peace. Don't dwell on the thought of your misfortune in suffering - metaphysically-speaking, thought is magnetic. Be compassionate and forgiving to yourself and others when you encounter expressions of Life that you find are not wholesome. Wholesomeness is the way to health.
  3. Auric Hygiene: mental hygiene will help you have auric health (a healthy aura). Active grounding will help you have auric health. So will good nutrition (good diet) - and good company and occupation (nothing too stressful, and nothing that is bad for the Whole of Life). Beyond that you can visualise spiritual light coming to you and filling your aura, lightening it and making it healthy. Golden light is very healing and 'transmutes' auric dirt and pollution. There are many recommended ways of cleansing the aura to be found online (and in books) - and you will find them if you use a search engine to look for information on psychic protection.
  4. Shielding: Imagine that you are surrounded by a giant egg shell that has the broad end beneath you and the small end above your head, whose shell is about three or four feet away from your body; imagine that this shell is invisible and filled with the brightest light, brighter than a sunny and warm summer's day; imagine that the shell is quite tough and permits good energy to come through and is not present to other energy - no unwelcome energy can get in. Do this daily, twice in the beginning, morning and night, and then once a day after a few weeks of practise.
  5. Intention: Metaphysically speaking, your intention will determine your experience. As the Buddha said, wholesome mind bears good fruit. Be true and good, and you will come to 'good fortune', your experiences will be full of goodness. For more information on this kind of thinking read about "manifestation" or pick up a copy of "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne from your local library.
  6. Outside Help: The local person who knows. The exorcist, the priest, the healer, the shaman. Failing that - if you can't find such a person - pray, and have faith. Like the great Padre Pio says, "Pray, hope, and don't worry". Pray for celestial guardians to come to you. Mine are deceased friends and relations, but they could be angels, or God or similar Beings of Light, of the Highest vibration in  the universe.
  7. Medical Professionals: ...can help. They can help you sleep (with medicine), they can help you be happy (medicine, talking therapy) they can give you advice (eg to practise mindfulness meditation, to exercise, to eat well), they may well be able to help you with strong medication (to think clearly and be free from troubling perceptions), and they may help you be safe (by keeping you in hospital, watching you and looking after you). These people have good intentions, they are helpful, although they may not have any beliefs in the spiritual reality.
  8. Rest: Remember, this will pass.
  9. Hope: keep a gentle hope alive in your heart that change will come. Remember there is Light in the world.
  10. Stay Positive: Have you heard of the positivist school of psychology? It's brilliant. It's a kind of thinking about life that says by focusing on the times when you are happy, by making good connections with the world (with people/animals) and being active you will be happy (and not sad all the time, ie depressed). Secondly, keep your heart open, don't let the ones that bully/torment/bother you become devils, be compassionate towards them; they are different beings, with God-given Freedom and Dignity (just like you); say a prayer everyday for them to be healed of their distress (the cause of their hostility).

Well that's all. I'm pleased with that list. What more do I have to write on this blog now? (!)

If you have good self-discipline, this list will be easy for you and will help you a lot; if you don't have good self-discipline, then this was the place on the Internet where you once read a list of ideas that would really help you...

Good luck!

Ways Out Of Psychic Disturbance

Way One: Not doing anything.
Way Two: Try to fight off those causing the disturbance and reclaim personal space.
Way Three: Find a way out of the situation apart from conflict.

This is a RARE condition, and those who experience it wander around the world as if they had a mortal wound through which their 'insides' are always visible. They are always in touch with the spirit world, and in the most difficult way. Their condition goes unrecognised and misunderstood. Yes, it's paranormal schizophrenia.

You may not know what to do about it. You were probably never initiated into these realms of spirituality, so you have to find out everything for yourself. More or less you are following Way One, because you don't know what to do.

Way Two: perhaps you resort to spiritual means to solve this problem, such as spiritual self-defense, prayer, meditation, or spiritual healing. You are conscious of intrusion into your mental space, you are conscious of an influence within your personal mental space that you do not like, and you seek to fight off the intruders some how.

My history of Way Two: I don't like going to church, because the vibrations that result around me when I go there are more uncomfortable than usual, but I admit that going to church and receiving the Eucharist or being blessed on a Sunday could help greatly. This may be something I do in the future; this is also dependent for me on having a full understanding of what I am doing in going to God in that way, which I don't yet have. Secondly, I don't like meditating, because it seems to require more effort than usual in 'fighting off' negativity, but again, this may be something I come to do, because it is so helpful, and I may improve at it. Regarding prayer, I know, I probably don't listen enough to be satisfied with it, but it brings hope, properly understood. And spiritual healing requires you find someone capable, which for me is an ongoing hunt.

So Way Three?
Way Three is any way that is non-violent and allows us to slip the yoke of external dominance and intrusion. It may include meditation, or visualisations from a positive mindset; it may mean not spending time perpetuating trouble by brooding on trouble discontentedly, or it may mean thinking differently.
Back to metaphysics. I read that the goal of the soul is to walk every path - of the victim and the villain, of the sinner and the saint, to walk all paths. But who wants to walk the path of the victim (or the villain?) Concerning the victim path, which may be troubling anyone experiencing incoming psychic disturbance, I read that the metaphysical reality does not necessarily require that we walk a certain path, but that we merely affirm somewhere, in a quite place at the back of our minds, that it is possible to experience that path. When we acknowledge that there are people out there right now (or at any time) in hell on Earth because of 'extra sensory' perceptiveness, we can release it ourselves. Even just acknowledging the possibility of disturbance is enough. If you believe that all beings are one in the Creator, it is enough that the possibility exists, or that it is being played out by another part of the body of the Creator.
Simply put, we can affirm "I can change through suffering; I prefer to grow in peace. I now grow in peace."

I hope that my blog posts will start to become more about 'Way Three' than 'Way Two', about wisely circumventing strife rather than trying to combat it directly.

Causation

How did I get into this situation?

1) Logical answer: cannabis use - either a) caused insanity or b) opened me up to spiritual trouble.
2) Metaphysical answer: I chose this myself, bringing about a crisis of spiritual attack to bring myself closer to my soul.
3) Karmic answer: I have the Devil's own karma and am suffering spiritual attack for my sins.
4) Innocence answer: I am like a wounded lamb in the flock of humanity, easy prey to 'wolves' through no fault of my own.
5) Destiny answer: I planned this from before I was born.
6) Creationist answer: some thought or feeling has magnetised this situation to me.
7) Spiritual cause and effect: I have caused some spirits offense, and they are attacking me out of anger.

About these answers:
3) I for one do not believe in a karmic system that punishes.
4) There's martyrdom and there's martyrdom. Maybe this comes into it, through the sheer volume of attack - I did recently here a celestial spirit call me a martyr (it seemed to be someone's guide that spoke to me as I passed the person, a stranger; I do not doubt the reality of this occurrence). This is not m7y main theory however, that this whole episode of my life is meaningless, just an accident of fate because I am or was vulnerable.
5) Difficult. Some people I've read persuade me that we sometimes choose to suffer, for our higher good, or for the higher good of all. I think though, why would we choose to suffer, if we could choose anything, if we could develop through joy? My opinion is that the possibility of all this was accounted for, but this was not actually planned.
1) Who could argue with this answer? I would just argue over whether or not it's a situation of paranormal nature, or pure insanity.
2) This is tempting, but it's gone on for about ten years with little change, and been fairly merciless at times - though no doubt, it has brought me closer to my soul.
6) I went through states of profound fear and strong negativity, and so did others around me - I think this is the strongest argument, that there is some 'thought-form', as some call them, that has attracted my situation to me. The theory is that every being is creative, and thoughts and feelings we have magnetise people and situations to us - well, in the main, the thing is that I've attracted some vengeful spirits to me, who I seem to have offended, though I don't know how. That's the impression that I get, that I offended them, somehow.
So 7), which was a post-script is probably also relevant, though they may be attacking me just through their own hostility.

No one clear answer, in my opinion, but I lean most strongly towards 6).

Anatomy Of A Schizophrenic-Type Disorder

I once thought that my troubles emerged exclusively from mortal people.  Then I progressed to realising it was from spirits too.

Now I see:

There are spirits around me, whose behaviour is changeable (though generally more benign);
There is much ill-will affecting me from spirit-people in the astral (who seem to be spiritually like 'career criminals', rebels against the Light)
There is some ill-will from humans affecting me (namely a psychic ex-girlfriend, and from others I have wronged in the past) [PS This is a minor, minor portion of the general problem, though still real!]
That I have caused this to happen through stirring up unhappiness, and attracted it through being very fearful (I believe the profound fear I experienced in a cannabis-induced schizophrenic breakdown attracted dark spirits to me) - since the universe operated through the law of attraction and the law of cause and effect, amongst others.

I once heard a celestial voice compliment me on my powers of intellect, calling me an impressive 'psychic scientist'. I analyse my situation, and I will find a way to heal it. On one level this means changing my energetic vibration so that I attract positive spirits and interactions; this is my will. I read recently that we attract people and situations to us based on our vibration (and our vibration is derived from our inner world of thoughts and feelings). Obviously, in my really dark days of delusional jealousy with the ex-girlfriend, then encounters with what amounts to the essence of evil under schizophrenic hallucinations, I must have got stuck in a rut energetically and attracted all bad to me. - I say all bad, but it could have been worse; perhaps I got stuck with all the bad that I could attract in my days of fearful hallucinations and relatively bad karma. It's not the utmost hell, though, to put it in perspective, it sometimes is so bad that I don't like being alive.

So, I'm a psychic scientist, and I will find a cure. I will find the panacea that changes my situation and puts me on an ecstatic path of fulfilment, for the good of all.
