Community of Expanded Awareness, And Tolerance

This whole thing about expanded awareness would be a lot easier if I hadn't got really ill - that little fact of illness means everyone is very skeptical, once you start to fill them in on the details! Actually, "acceptance" of being psychic for a lot of people can still be just an attitude of detached skepticism and perceptions of eccentricity, I imagine, like looking at someone 'askance' and saying "Okay. (You're not hurting anyone...) You get on with it."

But really, I, and maybe you too, can assert that There Is A God, and that knowing God and angels and Heavenly spirits directly and not just through belief Is A Gift.

You make your own mind up, just for you, without worrying about what others think, whether they think being psychic is associating with the Devil, or... whether they call you insane.
There's not really anyone to fight over this. We can let the world get on with its thing and evolve. Little point in arguing.

Funny, state-run psychiatry is state-sanctioned secularism, an officially sanctioned non-spiritual belief system. But lets not get down about it, but be bold in our convictions and feel a sense of community here. There is hope for us personally, and for a more integrated psychological belief system to be held by those medics with professional power.

I for one see having a sensitive mind as a positive thing in itself, and I hope that anyone who needs to feel that also, can do so.

The root thought here is that you can feel alone, not knowing anyone with similar experience and perspective - and that secondly, you can feel hurt when others disbelieve you, judge you, treat you roughly in some way, just through their own difference of nature. But let's not carry around anger, as a principle, but tolerance, just the same as can exist between all people, essentially, and particularly when it comes to matters of belief. That way, with tolerance, we make room for a happier world to grow with us.

Happy day! You might be what they call "psychic", and you can also think that it's okay to be psychic. Being psychic can do you and others a lot of favours! This is good news! God is Love.

I also affirm that, wondrously, hallucination, delusion and psychic perception can occur side by side.Which is confusing at the time! And can seem impossible to rational people at the other end of the mental sensitivity / intuitive spectrum, but there we go. Like I have written before, for those with an inclination to believe here: if a person can be psychic, then why not also those people who happen to have symptoms of serious mental illness / serious disturbance to brain-mind functioning. If them, then why not  me too? Why not?

The other night I woke up with an awareness of what I was dreaming. In the dream I saw the words written "He is so precious. He's a psychic." This I interpreted to mean that someone was appreciating me, and confirming my psychic awareness (following the belief that dreams can be a forum for extra-sensory phenomena and communication). This was something very special to me. Validation can come from within! Even when it seems no-one in the world believes or supports you. But I say to you who have mighty convictions of your own sensitivity of mind, you too are precious.

Thank you,

Mr. S.

Spirituality Reality, Schizophrenia Diagnosis and Cultural Norms

Diagnosed with schizophrenia today, the doctor said that she had to think of my relation to spiritual cultural norms when making the diagnosis. Which is funny (!), because she didn't know anything about the spiritual reality, it seemed. She didn't know what "psychic" means.

I think, in my country at least, that non-religious people outnumber those who are active members of religious communities. Of those who do attend religious ceremonies, a smaller percentage will have spiritual awareness of some kind, and a smaller percentage again will have problems from their awareness (such as empathic issues, even ordinary issues of psychic attack) - and then a tiny minority will suffer from demonic possession, ghost attachments and demonic attack/ spiritual attack.

In other words, most people know nothing of this kind of reality painfully raised as a problem here on Diagnosis: Schizophrenia!!!!!!!!!!! It's not a spiritual awareness, ESP or parapsychic community norm! Good luck trying to get many healers to believe you! (I'm sorry, but I've come to the belief that many professional healers are not strong enough to deal with advanced psychic attack like this, not even to recognise it or believe in it often.) Religiously speaking, I believe it would take about seven Christian bishops 'laying their  hands' on me to restore me to health; that's the kind of power required here (guessed going on feel and experience). If I ever recover by myself I'll be as strong as seven bishops...

And here's another post item, but I'll wrap it into this one: ignorance is only a small excuse when it comes to spiritual danger.
I was raised in a religious family, but one without any notion of spiritual techniques for well-being, and consequently, I had no idea of spiritual dangers - like acquiring the attention of transient spirits, like the possibility of over-spiritualisation by drug use, like psychic pollution. Part-knowledge of spirituality was handed to me.
The fact is that we are expected by Heaven and God to look after ourselves in part - we have some responsibility for our psycho-spiritual well-being. This may be as simple as shielding the aura three times daily with white light. We could go on to spiritual grounding, and then on to energy chakra maintenance, depending on our personal need. These subjects are all covered in psychic development, and with luck we can find out for ourselves about these things as and when we need to.

I'm really going on something I read, that each of us is expected to do our bit to maintain our psycho-spiritual well-being, which goes a long way to helping God and Heaven help us. But that's a great thing. At least then we know, and can answer some of our feelings, that it is partly up to us to care for ourselves.

In the first place, ideally, be knowing. In the second place, take care of yourself.

So, I now know about the spiritual dangers of drug-taking (I suppose mainly for sensitive people). And I know that there are methods for generating a positive energy for oneself, and going on from there to purify the self if necessary. I am not helpless, I can help myself.

Here's a theory to leave you with: that some parts of the 'civilised' world, although they are becoming rapidly more spiritual, are lacking in the cultural 'apparatus' (spiritual beliefs and techniques) to always ground the new energy that spirituality brings them, resulting in insanity and spiritual disturbance for some. What do you think?

Healing Review

I said that I would post a report of the healing session I last went for. Here it is.

The lady I saw was a psychic healer and medium. There was an introductory talk, and then I lay on a treatment bed. She put her hands on my shoulders, head and knees and stomach for about half an hour.

At the end she said that anything troubling me now would be 'residue' of former spirit presence. She said that three spirits had been 'escorted' away. One was stubborn, claiming to be the strong one, and she challenged him to go and he left. One was female, she said.

Here's what was happening for me: as she was talking afterwards, I sensed one of the two other spirits come and stand behind me, and he seemed to be a little afraid. I didn't want to say anything to the healer.

Walking back to get transport to go home, I felt stronger, but still not normal, mentally, not totally at peace or feeling secure.

Arriving home, one hour later, the third spirit, the female, came and said "Thank you."

What is the result of all this? The healer was experienced and I got on well with her, she had integrity and a kind nature. She cleared one soul who had been very hostile to me. The two others have come back and are with me again. This is still a good outcome, because the hostile one was really bothering me. He was seemingly hurting me for his own amusement, and very frequently. Still, I don't hold that against him, trusting that he has gone somewhere where he will be helped, and I leave it at that, no debts of karma for him to repay me.

So why did the other two come back? As I understand it, we always have free will, and that of course includes those who have died and are in spirit. Simply, these two spirits are happier with me and are not yet ready to ascend and go to God and Heaven. They must have broken away from their escorts before fully 'crossing over'.

Other spirits whose voices are familiar to me from before are around me - homeless souls who drift around, and some of them are filling the role of the persecutor, acting like "outlaws", ignoring all emotional responsibility, causing trouble and hurting me.

The lady also said that she spoke to my dad and told him not to feel guilty but to go on and get on with his evolution up in Heaven. This hasn't helped him interfering with my will to be creative: he disapproves of me playing the keyboard, which REALLY upsets me; he obstructed me again some days after seeing the healer - I asked him why and he said he didn't want me to waste my time.
The healer had said that he was still acting in the role of a father, protecting and helping, when he ought to be moving on from that behaviour to evolve. Wish he would! He's obviously still happy with that role. I'm mostly okay with it too, - he's my dad, but sometimes he's a clumsy guide and hurts me.

So would I recommend that anyone see an experienced psychic healer and medium? Absolutely. I am very glad that she successfully moved on one spirit. That's great, a real miracle, which has lifted my faith in healing. The spirit who left was a young man who was expressing unhappiness by causing unhappiness.
But I am also disapppointed that two spirits have come back, - although it would be worse if they were badly behaved, which they tend not to be. One (an elderly lady) is very moral; the other, who I am guessing is from the Punjab in Pakistan, since he can understand the language from that region that I have being sung on a CD (I did some detective work), is less moral but largely well behaved, and calls me his best friend. Obviously that's where the attachment comes from, he prefers my company to God's, seeing me as his closest friend. I respond to that call for closeness with benign reasoning, always encouraging them to move on. Let's not forget what was written in a previous post, that these people can evolve at any time, - they can go on to Heaven independently, if they choose - healers only provide encouragement and help.

Well, that's all folks. I would still like help from a psychic healer, but some good work has been done. I hope reading this helped you.

New Ideas On Pyscho-Spiritual Well-Being

Firstly, "Wahoo!!" - I am happy because for a week or so I have been trying to write new posts here but been unable to because of a blogger.com bug, but I have just found a workaround on their Help page. "Wahoo!" again!!

Okay, to all of you out there Internet-land looking for advice and guidance on your psycho-spiritual well-being (which I define as your happiness with your mental health and personal boundaries as a person who is "psychic" (I mean, anyone who is aware of extra-sensory phenomena). Extra-sensory perception. Can bring problems. Chronic, chronic problems. Many people offer help with chronic problems to do with extra-sensory phenomena; I've seen a few, I will see more, but to be honest, my faith in them (so far) is low.

What do I think helps?

First of all, sitting quietly, letting your own mind unravel its way to a positive solution either under its own power or through Divine infusion of ideas.

Second, meditation; binding your subtle energy to the Earth and Its core; holding the feeling of what your preferred state is like (I mean 'imagining' and holding feelings of peace, of safety, of privacy); and, most seriously, holding the intention to be peaceful (to be peaceful in every way - that is, to be untroubled, have good relations with the world of spirit and feel calm).

Thirdly, change your focus. At some level there must be a way for you to powerfully shift your focus and give more of yourself to the world, or to receive more from the world. You can be over-giving (all mental effort towards goodness and integrity, and all benevolence) and at the same time you might be both not giving to others in a way that is practical (because all your energy is in putting out good vibrations through mental effort) and you are exhausted and needing to be cared for in some way (that is, you are needing to receive from others and from God).

One major insight for me to share is that intention is very important. Intend to be healthy. Intend to be happy. Intend to be peaceful.

Will is like a muscle and can be strengthened. Intention that is strong creates mindfulness of purpose. Keep reminding yourself of your wish, and you will remember more and move towards your desired state of being!

But everyone is in a unique situation and circumstance. Some may already be strong-willed. For me, I realised that strong intention is better than many auspicious external items, whether they be gemstones, religious items such as medals, or flower essences for psychic protection. Still, I find value in them, some of those things, but better than external things, for me at least, is will power. Insight: willpower creates one's own personal boundaries. Prepare to become a stronger person.

I had some insights about Domination. Simply, I noticed my thoughts were being changed through the mind-force of a spirit or group of spirits on the 'subtle', spiritual level. (We could call these spirits evil, but we would be better saying that they are spirit-people choosing what is evil, they are choosing what is very unloving.) Dominion and domination, in the origins of those words, indicate someone extending mastery over another (not true mastery, not mastery of the way of Life, but the gross and simple mastery chosen in ignorance, that of one being over another). It is a power play. One being finds it gratifying to 'dominate' another. I mention this because it refers to will power. Strong will cannot dominate strong will, by and large. Strong will can only dominate a lesser will.

They also say that knowledge is power. Spiritual knowledge gives strength before a spiritual adversary. Such as the realisation that no being or group of beings can dominate another forever. - That effort to dominate another simply does not work over eternity, given the nature of Reality. Not all the fear in the world or all the fear that could ever be is stronger than that principle of sustainability versus unsustainable relationships and actions.

When contemplating domination and dominion the other morning, I realised that I should shift my focus - this time from what is sad and upsetting (domination efforts by another towards me) - to what is truly strong and poisitive (which for me is Deity).

Lastly, if you need to, smile, and relax. You may well be holding onto tension in your body right now. (I wished to write that, then realised, as I was writing that I was holding tension in my body, in my abdomen! I then spontaneously took a breath in and breathed out, relaxing!) Oh yes - and smiling could help relax your mind, too (that important part of you all and me I am writing about here)!

Good luck to you all in defining and reclaiming your personal boundaries.

Another Intellectual Challenge To The Status Quo

Simply put, when spirituality is an acceptable idea, why are negative spiritual interactions discounted?

We are ready to believe in and consider the spiritual aspect of Life, but why discount the possibility of spirituality being a cause of urgent complaint?

I dare say for vast numbers of people, spiritual negativity is something they talk about and think about and counteract, but don't actually encounter. I mean, you can believe in the Devil, and avoid the temptations of the world (intoxicants of body and mind), whilst never actually seeing or hearing or sensing a horned and pointy-tailed embodiment of evil.

People are protected. People have natural protection.
If you have or believe you have problems with your spiritual safety, by all means look into informing yourself about ways of being safe through written media or professional spiritual helpers - but generally people are spiritually safe, I believe. People don't experience the spiritual emerging into their daily lives in a negative way - that's why we call it the 'paranormal', which literally describes something 'beyond' normal. It doesn't usually happen that people get spiritually disturbed or harassed.
Spiritually, everyone has protection, a natural thick skin, as well as the protective energies of God surrounding them. I admit some people are naturally sensitive, and others like me develop sensitivity suddenly, and such ones may encounter the spiritual in a variety of ways, both positive and negative.

Cannabis is notorious for disabling the natural spiritual defenses of the human organism, so there you go, that's why you get sensitivity and openness (or nakedness) to the spiritual. Use of psychoactive drugs is not recommended for spiritual safety, as it will cause problems for a portion of users. (However I believe that drugs might perhaps be more safely used by those who are initiated and guided by the wise).

Still, though we are generally safe, there are still mountains of evidence in the form of folk traditions around the world that the spiritual world has a shadow that is to be feared. One of the duties of the Christian faithful, for example, has traditionally been to 'cast out' or exorcise evil spirits. It's all very well getting rid of superstition, as we have done in parts of the world over the last several hundred years, but don't prune away useful parts of our heritage that are always relevant. Those who can handle the spiritual dimensions should be prized, they should be valued for the help they can bring the rest of their community - I'm thinking of those who can perform a range of tasks, from getting rid of a lingering uncomfortable atmosphere in a new home, to moving on lost spirit-people, to helping people like me.
When I was in a mental asylum two years ago, I attended a short Christian ecumenical service there, the priest blessed me with the sign of the cross, and for an instant, the energy around my head 'cleared' and felt light (rather than heavy) - the priest had performed a little miraculous spiritual healing through his faith and the power of God. Imagine what the potential is for liberating people who are spiritually shipwrecked and disturbed by harmful energies. It does not always seem abundantly easy to find the figures in society who will disconnect a person from harmful spiritual energies and realign them with Light - it's a specialist service, rather than being down to a given figure in every community.

I'm not advocating a return to superstition. There's still a kind of superstition in my society, in prejudice towards people who are spiritual - the door has swung the other way. I'm advocating a revivifying of awareness that the paranormal will almost always be an issue for some people in human society, and that those who bear the mantle of spiritual leaders should foster the ability to deal with it in full.

Now we have denial. Orthodox psychiatric denial of the spiritual and the ability of the human being to interact with the spiritual (through the sixth senses). The psychiatrist is for most people in my country the person who wears the biggest hat of authority in the realm of mental health - despite being in direct opposition to the state-sanctioned organisation of Christian religion with its beliefs in the invisible and tenets valuing exorcism. Sorry you docs for putting you down, but we're in opposition.  That's a confused society, with duplicity of views, with hardened, conflicting stances within itself.
I'm in a strange position when I put forward my position in the psychiatrist's office, talking about mental ill health and making claims for the reality of the spiritual and complaining of painful spiritual interactions! So the doctor will tell me to my face that I have a psychotic condition. When people think you are insane, in my experience they treat you with a kind of loving pity, tolerance at arm's reach, whilst trying to talk to you in a way so as to demonstrate to you that they don't think you are crazy! That amounts to condescension, at least from my perspective, beating my drum for parapsychology.

Let us all be happy in our spirituality, and have compassion on those few who have troublesome interactions with the spiritual energies - and let's pray for everyone who needs it to find the help and information they need to be safe and have the same chance of happiness as anyone else.

Insight

I think that the body of science and thinking that might be called modern psychology, or Western psychology, or orhtodox psychology, could benefit by working with the spiritual traditions that are far older than it, for example Buddhism, which incoroporates an anceint practice of study of the mind. Comparatively such traditions could be seen to have more authority than modern psychology.

I have seen a book along these lines, a collaboration between the Dalai Lama and a Western psychologist. This can only be a good thing.

If insights can be gained from looking to spiritual traditions regarding normal psychology, I wonder how long it will be before science is taken to the spiritual worldviews regarding paranormal psychology, examining the transition where mind becomes spirit, and all the possible spiritual interactions that may follow. I've written on this blog before about how, roughly put, it's strange that rational people dismiss a lot of spiritual beliefs as superstition - for example amulets to ward off evil and curses, beliefs in interactions with deeply hostile spirits, and beliefs in ghosts and the possiblity of not transcending to Heaven on physical expiration. There is so much in these world traditions that could be considered evidence of the paranormal - and was wholly believed until quite recently.
But that's not everything, because spirituality does not just offer explanations of parapsychological ill health, it also offers solutions ( through the 'shamanic' ways, for example, or Christian exorcism).
Perhaps one day there will be a fuller and harmonious formal science of the mind that incorporates what is now known and practiced in religious traditions.
