Magical Power

Did you know that in some cultures, the power to bless and curse is only believed to reside in witches? It is my belief that everyone carries these powers. That doesn't make everyone witches, but it does make everyone powerful and part of a spiritual reality. Life is characterised by power, and by change. We must match the power of Life with our own self-esteem: only when we cultivate grandeur that matches Life can we hope to be at peace with Life in this world, and hope to go on living effectively and with strength. In a position of strength, we cannot easily be overpowered or intimidated.
Well-being is in an attitude of strength, and well-being is in practices that bring strength - like prayer, meditation and communion with Nature or like-minded spiritual believers. Well-being is also in unity consciousness and good, kind moral deeds. Or it may be in therapies or medicinal intervention.

I believe that it must be that the sensitivity to magical power, and degrees of magical powerfulness itself must vary in all people. Thus some can bless or curse, and some can be more sensitive to it than others. But at any rate, there is nothing to fear. Even if you are sure that you are affected by a person or spirit's negative will, there is nothing to fear.


The English writer of some few hundred years ago called Dr Johnson once criticised those who "discourse like angels, but live like men", that is, he expects us to "walk our talk". I am conscious here that I speak of my understanding - and that integrating my understanding is an ongoing process. It is enough to understand the benefits of feeling big in power, (matching Life's great grandeur) and to remember that feeling from time to time. If I had already completed this awareness in myself, I would no longer suffer from the mischief and malice of spirit people! Make yourself 'huge' to match the huge life issue, whatever it may be.

Kudos to you: Respect and Honour To Those Enduring Spiritual Warfare

If you are here on this weblog looking for information to help you with your life and your health and your relation to the world of spirit, including information about clear hearing and sensing of spirits' voices or mental influence, then I salute you. Kudos to you. I take my hat off to you. You have likely faced difficulty alone and unguided, developing your strength in spiritual warfare with beings whose strength is superior to yours. You are not living a normal life and it may have been so for some years (circa 12 years for me / adulthood). I realise that when we face unusual obstacles, we become somewhat superhuman, it brings out the best in us, hidden qualities of strength and wisdom. We may lose our definition of normal along the way, but we find our real selves. Well don't feel so alone, right now, because I'm hailing you; I'm hailing your strength and goodness.

A Reminder for Life: Be Strong

Not to plagiarise a book I've been reading too heavily, but when you are suffering a kind of injustice, you can take on negative thinking that does not suit your nature.

"I would have a normal life if it wasn't for X"

"If it wasn't for X, I could be happy"

As soon as you blame like this - and I have been very guilty of this, too - you mentally put the power to change your situation into another's hands. They have responsibility to change your life for the better; is that true? On analysis no, we always have the power to change our circumstances for the better.

Me, I would have a job and a mate. I would be strong and happy. If only I had my righful peace, privacy and safety. - Is that true? Am I completely passive in this situation? No. With hope and wise choices and courage, I can change everything.


Just because you are being treated badly, doesn't mean you have to respond by being weakened.

Paranormality and the Psychology of Abuse

Paranormal.     

What does this mean? It means something is happening that is unusual. Beyond normal.

I had a realisation recently that the word 'paranormal' does not just describe interactions with the spirit world, but it describes my every day experience. Maybe you understand this.

I go shopping, I vote, I go to family gatherings, and I seek to make a positive contribution to the world - but all the time, a percentage of my mental activity is given over to spiritual interactions, of which a portion of those interactions are distressing. Spiritual interactions - and challenging ones. Beyond the cornucopia of experience typical to humanity, I have an added challenge, which I define as paranormal. The challenge I endure, that likely you endure too, reader, is to go on with daily life and fulfil your ordinary human desires while coping with spiritual phenomena that you never anticipated could be possible.

I suppose I realised that my life is extremely challenging, sometimes taking me to the limit of endurance. I have this added dimension of knowing that brings difficulty (and a diagnosis of psychosis or schizophrenia). I realised that I go about a daily life the same as anyone healthy, but I am also extremely 'tested'.

I now identify with anyone exposed to extraordinary life circumstances that change them, that are even too heavy for them.

The difficulty for me is being exposed to psychic hostility frequently and on a daily basis. But I am able to sympathise with others who have been subjected to such influences of aggression that their ordinary psychology has been distorted, and unfairly so. I have insight into the psychology of abuse. As yet, I am still in that world, and cannot speak conclusively on it. But I realise that, all being well, I will master this situation and regain my personal power. I have hope in Life, that all things lead to a positive outcome, so that, with luck, I should escape the influence of the negative upon me and become powerful, able to help others, and happy.

I have attracted the attention of spirits of lesser evolution than me, who have found a weakness in me they exploit, and continually do so to injure my mind. However, this cannot continue forever.

I have been reading that there is always a purpose to what we go through. There must be a purpose to this for me - and you, too, reader, if you are in the same position as me. Coming from a position of disadvantage and injury to a position of power and assertiveness.



So, a post about extraordinary efforts of personal strength, ('paranormal' life challenges) and about evolution into a position of strong personal power. Not just having the strength to pick yourself up and carry on, but the strength to hold your own space and create happiness for yourself. If you are in my situation, I hope you realise how well you have done in sustaining yourself through intense challenge, and I hope you have hope that, all being well, you shall come through it too, just as I hope to.

AMAZING FEELINGS

After over ten years of daily psychic warfare, resisting evil, I now feel like I can give guidance to others who may be going through the same thing. Terms Of Warfare! Important Post and Ideas About "Evil"

I had some thoughts about the situation of being under the invasive influence of spiritual beings. The idea is to be accurate and loving at the same time - rather than waste energy and cause problems from using language that is wrong or aggressive.

Demon: As previously noticed, the word demon is confusing at best; in its root it means Master. It is used by us to denote malevolent beings in spirit. Firstly, "Hate the sin not the sinner", so identify bad behaviour without making a spirit person a bad being - for nothing God made is bad, I believe. Secondly, these spirits are trying to 'master' us, which is no mastery, but a crude power play that does not prosper in Eternity and in the God's Universe. So I would avoid using the word demon to describe malevolent spirits.

Devil: I don't believe that there is a duality in the Universe of God versus the Devil with our souls in the balance - I do not believe in those terms. No big Devil. However, there are clearly beings, people, in spirit with evil will, who wish to cause great harm - and the less we have to do with the, the better, though we can pray for them. Those spirits we could call devils, just like we could call them demons - but what good does that do? They are truly souls gone astray, requiring the love of God (and us) and redemption and prayer. Labels of good and evil set up division, which is as much as to say they create further conflict. So I would avoid calling them devils. It's also a kind of insult - again, aggression - and it perpetuates conflict.

Spiritual Warfare: do you really wish to cleanse the entire space between Earth and Heaven single-handed? I suggest not - there's too much, and Life is too valuable to spend any longer than necessary dealing with anything opposed to personal evolution and fulfilment. Don't declare war on all of darkness in spirit. He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day. It may be a minor point, but I prefer to think in terms of psychological warfare, as understood by Earthly war-makers, or psychological abuse as understood by psychologists - these philosophies allow us to think productively about the situation of psycho-spiritual attack.

Exorcism: I prefer the term spirit release, which has benign connotations, rather than the 'loaded' word "exorcism".



- The point is that we use language that is helpful. Language full of anger promotes conflict. Language of compassion promotes peace ("peace between" and "peace inside"). Let's not throw insults at (powerful) spirits who are not like us in approach to Life, and let's not declare war on the entire reality of pain. Better to focus on what is good, as metaphysical teachers say. Have a spiritual mission without having confrontation as one's central purpose. Peacefulness can fight (or the innocent would be overrun by evil), so we "Fight the good fight with all our might," as the Christian hymn goes. Peacefulness can fight, but it does so with a pure heart. Peacefulness can fight and unleash total aggression, but it's dominant psychology is always purity and goodness as generally understood by the human race down the ages. So we live in love, we do not live to hate. We live in peace through all that leads to peace. After all, if our final goal is to have power over another, we are the same as what has been called 'demon', or evil...


I had a dream of two enemies. one was pure of heart, the other was not pure of heart. They fought each other, killing each other again and again, and again and again they had the strength of mind to resurrect themselves and to fight each other. The one of lesser purity warred on the other, and the other had to fight back. It is the story of nemesis. Two equals who war.
In the end the pure one had the strength to self-resurrect and kill the other one last time. His purity had given him the extra power to live in peace. This is the tragic story of pain, that one can be driven by pain - and perhaps envy - to trouble another, even in ultimate ways. But, in eternity, the good always overcomes. There is change, and restoration of Joy. There is beautification and remembrance of love. Even if that means death (which is but a gateway to a greater reality), Light and Love always win. "Lux omnia Vincit" - Light always triumphs; and "Amor omnia vincit" - Love always triumphs; - these are two similar and valuable Latin mottoes. In the end the Light is not glad to kill the enemy, but sees the bigger picture where Life goes on, and is quietly glad in the righteous peace that has been gained.

I don't believe that peace must be passive. We can meet evil with strength and with enough strength, evil is dispersed and then there is peace. I suppose evil is Life in relationship with other members of Life in ways that are harmful to the Whole; Life need not be destroyed to give peace to the Whole, it is merely necessary to heal and restore the relations between the 'members' of Life.

Spiritual Help

I have spiritually seen Mother Teresa near me, once, though I had not asked for her help; similarly I have seen Padre Pio near me, though I had not asked for his help. (When people ascend to Heaven, they love to serve those of us on the Earth plane). Also Swami Yogananda came near me one day, I could dimly see and sense where he was in the room, and I clearly heard his voice say that he would help me by warding off evil.

So I am helped.

Plus there is something like a legion of helpers who are with me every day, laughing and joking with me about every little ordinary thing. I can say that I have friends from Heaven, who I have sent out loving thoughts to by way of appreciation of their Earthly work, who have come to me and are in attendance to me daily, and these friends were often famous people when alive! This is real.
I also have family members in spirit who intermingle with the other celestial friends in being by my side and making me cheerful and making me feel loved. So thanks to all of them.


Now then, we come to an interesting matter.

I have read of angels that are supposed to come and 'clear' your spiritual space when requested, for example the Archangel Michael, or the Archangel Azrael. Archangel Michael is a very popular spiritual force among new spiritual movements today, however getting his help is not so easy. I now tend to believe in angels, but think that archangels are a biblical invention. (There energies may be real though, because of many people believing in them - a complicated idea, but apparently this can happen).
I like thinking of angels, its strengthening, but I haven't been noticeably helped by them when I've asked for protection.

The biggest amount of prayers have gone out to God. Spiritual problem, spiritual solution. Well, God has not interned to stop this spiritual intrusion into my mind.
Recently I looked back through some journals I wrote when I first got ill, and for some years prayers for intervention were very common on those pages; re-reading them I felt bitter. This is a problem - wishing for help, needing help, and getting no help.
Why doesn't God help? I read God said he will not help if we can help ourselves. Since I cannot help myself in these matters, it must be that some other human can help.
Secondly, I realised that God knows what's best for me. They say that if you don't get something you wish for, then it must be in your best interests not to have it. Also, in the Christian Bible it says that God knows what we need before we ask for it. In other words, again, God knows what's good for us; there's comfort in thinking that God is fully aware of whatever trials and suffering we may be going through.
Some say that all Creation is God, so when you suffer, God is right there with you; although the Divine Spirit that is God is beyond suffering, It is absolutely aware of what we experience.
It's very difficult when God does not take away pain and tribulation, but I suppose when things are like that, we have to try something else.

It's a comfort to think that everything changes, that change finds every situation, so that either the condition leaves me, or, eventually, I leave the condition!

Metaphysically speaking, whatever we focus on grows. We are naturally creative, and we are always creating. Better then not to dwell on difficulty when we can avoid it, but to change the subject and focus our minds on some promising new direction in our lives. (This is metaphysical teaching, not my opinion).

Lastly, the fact that God does not intervene when asked, even if he is 'supposed' to, according to spiritual texts, says something. It says something about the texts and it says something about God, Life and the World. It says that the world is a powerful place, and calls us to be powerful too. It says that, surely, if God does not help, that we can help ourselves, that we are strong enough. We are strong enough to face this! It is very important that we develop the mind of the victor, of the powerful one, and not of the victim, the one who loses again and again. It is essential that we cultivate powerfulness by admiring our strengths, congratulating ourselves on our bravery, surrounding ourselves with positive imagery, by speaking positively, and by affirming that God has made us with some of his own Almighty Spirit inside. We are powerful.

I suppose I have something to learn about power. Psychic attack is essentially a power struggle, a solar plexus chakra issue, dealing with ways of relating to others, and it teaches good ways to hold our divine power. The ideal is to raise our energy, to not be angry and push and pull in aggression, but to flow and come from the heart. Jesus says that God is perfect, that God's heart is always open to us, and that when our hearts are open even to those who wish to be an enemy, then we are perfect too [The Sermon On The Mount]. As I deal with this life issue of psychic attack, I will surely increase my awareness of my own power.

We do not defeat a monster by fearing it, but by summoning our own heroism to the surface. Psychic attack by spirits could be seen as a scary reality, but it is one I have to deal with. I can get help from other people, where they are spiritual adepts, but this is very much a reality I have to deal with. Good luck finding your power and your heroic self.
