New Drawings

I am going to post new drawings here as I produce them, as of April 2018.

Thank you for visiting this webpage! I hope you like the pictures.

This is a sketch I did of Louis Wain and one of his cats. Louis became famous for his cat drawings. He was supposed to have had schizophrenia. As such he is inspirational to me, having also been an artist. You should look up his drawings, readers, if you are interested; I particularly like his very intricate ‘psychedelic’ type interpretations of the image of cats, they are amazing. This was a quick sketch, and I think my copy of Louis’ ginger cat drawing is more like the real thing than my drawing of Louis here! But I will have another attempt I hope soon. As I write, Louis’ birthday is coming up, August 5.  Remember him, folks!

This was hand painted with fingers, boldened with marker pen and finished with pencil and coloured crayons.
I see a lot in this picture, an avian figure facing right with wings outstretched. Keep looking and there is symbolism of trees and the early ocean of Earth. The avian figure is like Archaeopteryx , the first known bird-like being.
This drawing took seven hours continuously to produce.

The picture above holds primordial symbolism of cosmic principles of masculine and feminine. A dinosaur figure emerged from the face of an eagle or albatross. It has a rounded head, the blue and red triangle is its eye and the jagged red line shows its upper jaw, above the pink tongue and slanted throat passage. Top right is a moon or womb or egg or brain coming from a volcanic flower. This drawing then represents masculinity in the dinosaur and the feminine in the fruiting form top right. I remember reading about a monk who was told by a divine being that his real parents are Primordial Wisdom and The Void. I see this parental imagery in this picture, and it just emerged, I didn’t plan it beforehand. I like the idea that I drew a dinosaur, although they are extinct!

This work above is a symbolic image and self-portrait that shows first contact with an alien race in the distant future where the first word shared is unspoken... I am hoping to develop this image further, as the colouring is very delicate. I am pleased with this very spiritual self-portrait with imaginative elements.
